Glass Houses

“The Lok Sabha plunged into turmoil on Friday immediately after Leader of the Opposition Lal Kishenchand Advani referred to the induction of ‘tainted’ persons in the government….. He then said that while the PM had the prerogative to choose his ministers, never in the past had persons with criminal background been inducted in the government.”—

Is the former deputy prime minister of India kidding? Weren’t he and his party mate Murli Manohar Joshi part of the last government? The very two people who were once under indictment for inciting a certain mob to tear down a certain structure in 1992? And isn’t another of Advani’s neo-Nazi party mates a chief minister who sanctioned the ethnic cleansing of a certain community two years ago? And wasn’t a certain coalition partner and member of the last government called Mr. Fernandes caught on tape accepting a bribe? Give it up former deputy P.M. You don’t have a leg to stand on.
